So you’re headed to Niceville and you want to know all about the neighborhoods. Well, today we are going to talk about Niceville’s newest neighborhood – Deer Moss Creek.
Honestly, we get so many phone calls, emails, and texts every single day of people moving to Fort Walton Beach and we absolutely love it! Deer Moss Creek is located on the East side of Niceville just North of the Rocky Bayou State Park. Deer Moss Creek is a mixed-use neighborhood of about 1,100-acre master-planned mixed-use community in Niceville, FL. Deer Moss Creek will include over 3,000 homes, a trail system, bike path, parks, and more. Deer Moss Creek’s Phase 1/1A, Hartfield, includes 116 single-family homesites ranging in size from 0.11 to 0.38 acres. Deer Moss Creek’s trail system will follow the path of the creek, and every neighborhood will eventually have a connection to the trail. Future amenities for the development include parks, community centers, and pools. The main road, Deer Moss Loop, has a bike path. The Deer Moss Creek has twelve approved builders. House plans must adhere to the Aesthetic Design Code and approved by the town architect.
As of the time of shooting this video, there are 4 active properties for sale in Deer Moss Creek, each with varying build completion dates. Their prices are $479k, up to $545k. Deer Moss Creek is limited in the builders that can build in here and that is mainly to keep the quality extremely high and the standard high. I will not name all of the builders, but I will provide them down below.
The location of Deer Moss Creek is also great, it is a mere 21 minutes to the nearest beach. Only 19 minutes to the nearest larger shopping center, the Destin Commons. Just a bit further down the road and you can visit the silver sands premium outlets in under 30 minutes.
If you are looking for nice dining there is Wharf 850 which also hosts a marina and it is only 10 minutes away. Another dining spot is Doc’s Oyster Bar and it is 14 minutes away.
Now you are probably wondering how far the nearest grocery store is.
You have Publix which is only 6 minutes away!
Walmart Supercenter is only 8 minutes away!
