We will be talking about the top 3 breweries in Niceville that offer a great place to relax and unwind located here in Niceville. A local brewery tends to have a little bit of a different atmosphere than most bars or clubs, the style is a bit more relaxed, more about enjoying the brews they make, the food and the conversation of others, so if that is your kind of style, stick around.
Let us start going down the list with the 3 main breweries in Niceville.
· Number one on our list, 3rd Planet Brewing. 3rd Planet Brewing has two locations to serve Niceville. but Let us talk about 3rd Planet Brewing and their history. They started here in our area in 2016 making them the first craft brewery in Niceville, created by Tim McCool and Jason Doster (military vets) they wanted a great environment that was very welcoming and also brought in food trucks to create a food-friendly environment. This food truck trend has since made waves in other cities as well, so a big shout out to them for working with the city to establish food truck ordinances. In 2018 they added the “Mothership” as they call it which included a bit more than double of the types of brew and space to accommodate the growing number of fans they have. Each day they will have a new food truck and a new experience so that you can enjoy your time there.
Second on our list, Props Ale House. Props Ale House is located in several cities here in our area and holds a special place in our hearts here at the Emerald Group because we have used their main brewery for our Christmas party for the last 3 years and again this coming year. Props is a full-service bar, brewery, and restaurant in Niceville, so it has a bit of everything. Want a locally crafted brew to be proud of, they have it! Some great wings to accompany said beer, they have that too! A full bar for the non-beer drinker friend of yours, they have that too! Props also boast indoor and outdoor seating and host great events like cornhole toss games, karaoke, and several others. It is family-friendly so there is no need to worry about getting a babysitter for the night and all in all, they have great reviews and provide a fun experience to all involved.
· Finally, on our list of local breweries is Strange Colt Brewery. This is one that I am particularly excited to talk about because it is the only one on the list that I have not been to. So yes, most of this research is based on friends and past clients who have been here so bear with me as I try to share their enthusiasm as they shared it with me. According to their site “The Colt” Brewmasters, Tom Streeter and Scott Hestilow and Asst. Brewer Colby Avery are dedicated to creating unique craft beers in small batches. This belief includes any other craft beers from independent breweries that they allow in their taps. The atmosphere seems to be filled with great brews, good food, and a strong mix of music from the Rock scene of the 80s and 90s. I did want to take a second and talk about their craft brews because after surfing their website and talking to past clients who have been here they definitely seem to have their own unique style and I am digging it a bit! For the light and malty style beer lovers, they have a hefeweizen that sounds like something I would personally enjoy called the Holsteiner which is a Bavarian Style ale with hints of banana, clove, and citrus. On an entirely different spectrum of flavor, they have an Indian IPA called El Caballo Loco which is a Mango – Habanero IPA, sweet and spicy at the same. They also have limited time brews that they create that seem equally as enticing.
