So, you are headed to Fort Walton Beach and you want to know the best things to do in the city. Well, today we are going to talk about the 3 local Breweries in town, let's get it.

What is going on, this is Andrew with the Emerald Group right here in Fort Walton Beach. If this is your first time on this blog and you want to know everything about Fort Walton Beach, well we do lots of blogs and videos about everything you need to know! So, make sure you check back with us every Thursday so you do not miss out!

Honestly, we get so many phone calls, emails, and texts every single day of people moving to Fort Walton Beach and we absolutely love it! If you are thinking about moving or relocating, make sure you reach out to us, give us a call, send a text, shoot us an email or send that carrier pigeon our way. However, you would like to get a hold of us, we have your back when moving to Fort Walton Beach!

Today we are going to talk a little about the Breweries in Fort Walton Beach and take a little look inside each one.

1.      First up is Props Brewery and Grill currently located at 255 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE unit 19 in South Fort Walton. This location, along with the other Props location that we will talk about here in a few minutes was thought up by three gentlemen who used to fly for AFSOC, Air Force Special Operations Command – the same AFSOC I used to fly for back when I was Active Duty. They partnered up with a legendary restauranteur with decades of experience from Boston.  They also have an Ale House in Niceville Florida, our nearest neighbor to the North. Props boast multiple staple brews here in the area as well as several seasonal beers as the seasons change. Some of the Brews you will generally see on tap year-round are The Blonde Bomber, a nice easy to drink blonde beer. They are also several different styles of IPA’s for those of you looking for a smack in the face with flavor. My personal favorite though, is a toss-up between their Blood Orange Blonde or their Dos Pilotos, a south American style lager, toss a lime in there and enjoy! They also provide a great restaurant to pair their drinks with. You can find great appetizers such as a giant Bavarian pretzel, or pickle chips. Their main menu has everything from soups and salads, wraps served with a salad or fries, or burgers made from Angus beef. They also have multiple entrée’s! If you are looking for a bit more to stop that hunger try their buffalo chicken mac and cheese! It is a favorite. The atmosphere is clean and friendly, and the overall experience never disappoints.

2.       Let us give Props a break for just a moment since they do have two locations in Fort Walton Beach. Now and slide on over to Fort Walton Brewing Company. Located right off Racetrack Road at 505 Mooney Road NW. This little spot is often called the hidden gem of Fort Walton Beach and that could not be more accurate. Currently, at the time of the shooting, they are open on Friday and Saturday and considering opening on Thursdays. They also have a great brunch on Saturdays – a lot of places in our area offer Sunday brunch but for that Saturday brunch, you need to visit Fort Walton Beach Brewing Company. Jim and Deborah, the owners, could not be friendlier and they have built an amazing hang out spot for anyone willing to try it out. The indoor space is quaint and filled with history and fun little surprises such as a mural with different types of people representing the beer they are drinking, like a blonde girl drinking a blonde ale, an upset ex-boyfriend drinking a sour beer, etc. Christina, their bartender, and local artist clearly put a ton of work and thought into it. This is not the main selling point of Fort Walton Brewing Company when it comes to the atmosphere though, the outdoor space clearly takes the cake on that one. Being that it was the first time I have personally visited when we shot this video, I only got the opportunity to try a few of their brews. Both beers they gave to me to drink were outstanding. I am a sucker for a good Belgian beer and they had a double and triple that were both incredibly good. Outside of that, at the time of the shoot, they had 3 different IPA’s, a Golden Ale, Lager, Pilsner, and Witbier for the lighter drinks. For the dark beers, browns and stouts had 4 different options to include a Stout that I will be swinging by to try one of these days and they even had a wheat sour and two ciders on tap. Now the Brewery, like most Brewery’s and Tap Rooms do not sell food directly but they do always have a food truck outside that rotates daily. At the time of shooting there was a great truck outside that had a menu that sounded amazing – we had already shoved food in our faces, or we would have most definitely tried them out! If you swing by, we would love for you to share your experience with us!

3.       Last but certainly not least is Props Craft Brewery and Taproom. This might as well be a completely new experience over the other Props but with the same great brews that we locals have come to love. This location holds a special place for us here at the Emerald Group because we have held our last several Client Appreciation parties right here in this building and it is always a crazy fun time. On top of the extra room in the back, which is normally empty and ready for your next party this location also offers lots of games and an outstanding atmosphere. From Trivia night that brings in the crowds to a slow and steady Friday night – there is not much this location does not offer. Want to play shuffleboard? They have it, they also have a ping pong table, Connect Four, Board games to include cards against humanity, and Foosball. And of course, a long bar with a great attentive bartender ready to ensure you have a delicious brew and a good time.

Depending on the atmosphere you are looking for, any of these 3 locations could be great for you.

If you have tried any of these spots, I would love to hear about your experience.

Anyway, I appreciate you checking out our blog and video. We will see you next week, see ya!
